We’re recruiting a Finishing Operative to prepare and spray precision components at an aerospace manufacturing site in Denham. You’ll apply finishes to technical specifications and inspect your work to meet the required quality standards.

The Role

• Clean and mask components before applying primers, topcoats, lacquer and other specified finishes using spraying equipment.
• Set and operate ovens, maintaining paint batch traceability.
• Unmask components, check for damage or omissions and carry out touch-ups where needed.
• Inspect finishes and measure paint thickness and gloss levels.
• Clean and maintain spraying equipment and paint booths, and dispose of waste in line with procedures.
• Maintain PPE and RPE, follow safety procedures and support good housekeeping.

Requirements

• Demonstrable paint spraying skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Basic hand tool and IT skills.
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures, with the flexibility to work alternating shifts.
• GCSE grades A–C in Maths and English, as specified in the job description.
