Workshop Technician

Location: Harlow, CM20
Salary: £27,000 – £29,500 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday–Thursday 07:30–16:00, Friday 07:30–12:30
Working Week: 39 hours

We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Technician to join a busy engineering workshop in Harlow. This is a permanent opportunity offering a salary of £27,000 to £29,500, depending on experience.

The role will involve carrying out a range of general and specialised workshop duties, supporting maintenance and production activities while ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with approved engineering and maintenance requirements.

The Role

As a Workshop Technician, your duties will include:

• Window polishing
• Grinding and fettling
• Paint stripping
• Shot peening
• Removal and installation of bearing cups
• Carrying out receipt inspections on customer jobs
• Assisting with dispatch, wrapping and packaging
• Driving the company van when required
• Ensuring correct PPE and workshop safety procedures are followed

Requirements

The successful Workshop Technician should have:

• Previous workshop, engineering or manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data
• Good time-management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
• A practical, hands-on approach
• Previous aerospace experience would be desirable but is not essential
• Full UK driving licence would be beneficial due to company van duties
