We have a great opportunity for a very experienced Senior Design Engineer to join one of our established engineering clients near Hayes.

Senior Design Engineer
We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Design Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will develop and design mobility infrastructure, wayfinding, and digital signage products that impact millions of people every day. Working in a small, collaborative team, you will create all technical manufacturing data, solve complex engineering challenges, and contribute to high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Create detailed designs and technical drawings, including manufacturing, client approval, assembly, and installation documentation
• Develop accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in collaboration with electronic/electrical engineering teams
• Follow document control procedures within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using Trueform’s PDM system
• Resolve engineering challenges proactively, considering client requirements, production feasibility, cost, quality, and timelines
• Report progress to management and highlight risks related to budget, schedule, or quality
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure designs are manufacturable, transportable, installable, and maintainable
• Liaise with internal production to ensure a smooth transition from design to manufacturing
• Support continuous improvement in design and quality systems

Senior Design Engineer – Candidate Requirements

• Must have a Degree, HNC, or equivalent in a Mechanical or Engineering discipline
• Skills in one or more of the following: Inventor 3D, AutoCAD 2D, Advance Steel, SolidWorks, Tekla
• Experience working in a similar role or environment
• Must have 8yrs+ experience in mechanical design for fabrication
• Previous experience with architectural metalwork and fabrication design
• Strong mechanical design and CAD capability
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused attitude
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence and collaborate at senior levels
• Positive, resilient, and enthusiastic team player committed to Health, Safety, and Equality
